The specialized labourer plays a key support role on site. Your role involves assisting with excavation, installation of structures and conduits, compaction, and other tasks that ensure smooth site operations. You are resourceful, take initiative while following instructions, and always work with a strong team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities. What you will need to do.

  • Load and unload construction materials and place them in designated work areas.
  • Assemble and dismantle various structures on construction sites.
  • Assist skilled workers in performing their duties.
  • Demolish structures and sort, clean, and stack salvaged materials.
  • Clean and maintain tools and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and job sites.
  • Direct traffic on construction sites;
  • Comply with all applicable health and safety regulations and report any safety concerns;
  • Perform other related duties as assigned;

The requirements. What you need.

  • Experience working on civil engineering sites, including electrical and telecommunications conduit installations;
  • Hold a valid CCQ competency certificate (required);
  • Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license;
  • Willingness to travel within the province as required;
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment;
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Be in good physical shape;
  • Energetic, detail-oriented, and reliable;
  • Fluency in French;
